International Court stays execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav

In a major diplomatic win for India, the International Court of Justice at The Hague today stayed the death sentence of former Naval official Kulbhushan Jadhav, given by a Pakistani military court.

The Court ordered that “Pakistan shall take all measures” to ensure that Mr Jadhav was not executed till the final disposal of the case by it.

Pakistan must ensure that Kulbhushan Jadhav is not executed until a final decision is taken on his case, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague has said.
