1. Hero ZIR 150

Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, Hero Moto Corp will soon launch ZIR scooter in India sometime this year. The 150cc scooter will be launched in two variants namely European style version and flat floorboard trim. An integrated hydraulic braking system is expected to be equipped in the scooter. Power is likely to be drawn by a four-stroke, 157.1cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine belting out 14bhp at 8500 RPM along with 1.29kgm torque at 7000 RPM.
Hero ZIR Looks
Styled modishly, ZIR is expected to feature key fitments such as dual projector head lamps up front with daytime running lights, LED indicators, petal disc brakes, tubeless tyres, digital cum analogue console with multi information display and step seat.

Hero ZIR price is expected to fall in the range of Rs 75,000 to Rs 90,000.

Hero HX250R Preview
Hero has got a number of new models up its sleeve for the domestic market, one of which is the HX250R. Unveiled first at the 2014th edition of Auto Expo, the motorcycle will sit in the 250cc segment. Styled aggressively, the sporty bike features key elements up front that add to the overall appeal of the bike. Dual tone colour theme dominated by black with splashes of red accentuates the sporty nature. The ground clearance is praise worthy providing excellent cornering ability to the motorcycle. Power generation is done by a single cylinder engine developing considerably healthy power output. The power to weight ratio is commendable at 223 PS/ton and the overall weight of the bike is expected to be around 139 kg. Moreover, the bike will come with a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 litres. Built mutually by Hero MotoCorp and Erik Buell Racing (EBR), the sports bike is expected to get features such as combi-brake system on board. Besides, the bike could also get anti-lock-braking system as optional fitment. Speculations opine that HX250R could be the successor model to the Hero’s Karizma ZMR series which failed miserably after the last update conferred in 2014.
Hero HX250R Looks
Hero’s fully faired motorcycle; ‘HX250R’ will be a part of the entry level division. Measuring 2085 mm long, 735 mm wide and 1145 mm high, the bike is a huge offering governing a commanding road presence. Up front, the bike could feature twin halogen head lights. Rear on the other hand is likely to feature LED tail lamp. Multi-functional digital console is expected to be available for the assistance of rider. Ground clearance measuring 145 mm will enable exceptional cornering ability. Dual tone colour theme will embrace the exteriors featuring black in most of the body highlighted by red in front and rear.
Hero HX250R Competition
The Sportsbike will gun straight against rivals in the segment like KTM RC200, Kawasaki Ninja, Yamaha R3 and Honda CBR 250R. In comparison to the latter, Hero HX250R weighs 28 kg lighter at 139 kg. Power output generated by Hero HX250R is 6 PS more than that of Honda CBR 250R giving it a cusp over arch rival.

3.Hero Dare 125

The prototype exhibited at the Auto Expo features LED head and tail lights along with a digital console that provides information like service due indicator etc. Utility features such as socket for charging mobile, boot light, side-stand indicator and pass switch are likely to be seen aboard.

Alloy wheels were also equipped on the prototype but the production version will reportedly come bereft of it. Braking action could be conducted by 200mm diameter hydraulic disc brake up front and 130mm drum brake at rear.

4.Hero Xtreme 200S

The Hero Xtreme 200S derives its power from an all-new 200cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air cooled engine that returns a claimed power of 18.5bhp at 8,500rpm and17.2Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This power unit is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Unlike its 150cc sibling, the Hero Xterme 200S comes equipped with mono suspension setup for shock absorption at the rear axle. Braking system of the bike consists of front and rear disc brakes. The Xterme 200S will be Hero’s first bike to feature an optional ABS (anti-lock braking system).
Hero Xtreme 200S Looks
Based on the strong diamond type chassis, the new 200cc Hero motorcycle looks quite aggressive and sporty. This sportbike carries air vents in front cowl, belly-pan and tank-shroud that improves engine’s cooling and performance. Other design elements include a mono halogen headlamp with twin LED pilot lights, LED tail lamp, dual tone seat, colored inner mud guard at the rear tyre and a contrast-colored front mud guard. The bike also gets an analog-digital instrument console.
Hero Xtreme 200S Competition
In the entry-level sportbike segment, the Xtreme 200S will face heat from the TVS Apache RTR 200, KTM Duke 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and other 200-250cc bikes.

With aggressive styling and a highly-powerful engine, the Hero Xtreme 200S is likely to fall in the range of Rs 90,000 – Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
5.Hero Leap Hybrid

Hero MotoCorp has in store a unique hybrid scooter named Hero Leap. This vehicle was unveiled prior to the 2014 Auto Expo. Initially it was showcased in 2012 and it is one of its kind being manufactured by an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer.Leap is powered by an 8kW Permanent magnet AC (PMAC) motor. The motor is powered by lithium-ion batteries and is rated at 60Nm. It is a fact that the vehicle is havi g low power generation but something like this from zero rpm is still notable. The scooter can be charged by plugging it into a standard wall outlet. Another version of the vehicle comes with an extremely efficient 124cc engine which uses petrol from a three-litre fuel tank. This is infact a range extender enabling to use petrol.
Hero Leap Hybrid Looks
The petrol version is a better option with a buffer of up to 100kmph. The vehicle is also equipped with good braking mechanism provided by Brembo 240mm twin-piston disc brake at the front. Overall the design of the bike is very futuristic with the headlight positioned between the handlebars giving it a unique look. The bike is equipped with an all-LED lighting system.
Hero Leap Hybrid Expected Price

Hero Hastur Preview
Hero had revealed the concept version of this 600cc street-naked bike at the 12th edition of Auto Expo in 2014. Touted as a global product, Hero Hastur is built by Hero MotorCorp and its US partner Erik Buell Racing. The concept version also featured Hero’s ‘geosic tubular chassis’ which uses components like trellis frame and trellis swingarm. The probable suspension set up comprises of 43mm adjustable inverted forks up front and adjustable monoshock at rear. From the looks of it, Hastur appears to be a sporty bike featuring a distinguished styling. Besides the bike may feature comfort equipment such as electric start, pass lights and step-up seat/split seat.

The head lamp cluster in front comes with two projector lamps. Hastur’s muscular stance is elevated by the robust tank (15 litres capacity) highlighted by black casting beneath the bike’s electrical. Either side of alloy finished flat handlebars feature mounted bar end mirrors. Seats are finished in velvet and the bright yellow stitching on the seat matches well with the majority of bodywork. Moreover, the assertive styling and subtle body work goes well with its street-naked look. Dimensionally Hastur measures 2015mm long, 820mm wide and 1120mm high. Ground clearance measuring 130mm should contribute towards adept performance.
Engine specification and Transmission
Power is likely to be drawn from a 620cc, four stroke, liquid-cooled and parallel-twin engine featuring a patented CSI cylinder. Expected maximum power for the 620cc engine is 78 Bhp at 9600 RPM along with top torque of 72 Nm at 7750 RPM. A six-speed constant mesh gearbox is likely to be paired to the engine. With an expected power to weight ratio of 493.12 BHP per ton, there is going to be ample power on offer. Hero claims that the bike accelerates to 100 kmph from rest within 3.8 seconds and hits top speed mark of 240 kmph.

In the 600cc segment, Hero Hastur will gun straight against rivals like Kawasaki ER-6n, Triumph Street Triple and Honda CB500F.
