In this competition of women in Puebla, Mexico, there were 500 candidates from 12 countries against Maria Lorena Ramirez.
She did not even have the necessary equipment to participate in the race. Even the sandal that María ran wearing was made of tire rubber. People from Tarahumara tribe are good runners.

Apart from this sandal, Maria had dressed skirts and scarves for the race. They have not got any professional training. In seven hours three minutes Maria completed the race and rewarded her as 320 dollars or about 20 thousand rupees.
